Honestly bro, this is just a playstyle clash.
Youโre playing for fun, trying different perks and enjoying those random clutch moments. Heโs playing to win and wants everything optimized. Neither of you are wrong โ you just want different things from the game.
But yeah, if you keep forcing yourself to run meta every game, you gonna get bored fast. Thatโs normal.
What Iโd say is just be straight with him once โ like โI donโt enjoy running meta every game, I wanna have fun too.โ Not in a defensive way, just chill about it.
If heโs a good friend, heโll adjust a bit.
You can even do a mix โ some matches serious (his way), some matches fun builds (your way). That usually fix this kind of thing.
But if he keep nagging you every game and not really listening, then donโt stop being friends โ just maybe donโt play this game with him that much. Play solo or with others when you wanna try different stuff.
At the end of the day, itโs a gameโฆ if it start feeling like a job, somethingโs not right.
