Rohit Sharma is the current captain of the Indian men’s One Day International (ODI) cricket team. He has been leading the side since 2021 and continues to do so, including during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, where he guided India to their third title in the tournament’s history.
Despite retiring from Test cricket in May 2025, Rohit remains active in the ODI format and has expressed no immediate plans to step down. Shubman Gill, now the Test captain, currently serves as the ODI vice-captain.
