Denji is basically a mess in this chapter. He just wants to find Nayuta, and the place he goes back to is completely burnt down โ nothing left but black, charred remains. You can feel how desperate he is.
Asa and Yoru switch around a bit, and Asa tries to actually comfort him for once. She even holds his hand and tells him she gets what heโs going through. Denjiโs so exhausted he doesnโt even want to transform anymore โ heโs basically like, โEvery time I become Chainsaw Man, my life just gets worse.โ
Thereโs a random moment where his stomach growls because he hasnโt eaten, and he says he wants sushi. Asa shuts that down because she doesnโt like sushi, which is funny but also so typical of them.
The whole vibe of the chapter is Denji feeling lost, burnt out (literally and emotionally), and not sure what to do without Nayuta.
Your question is a bit too vagueโโChapter 164โ of what? ๐
There are many manga/anime series with a Chapter 164 (for example Chainsaw Man, One Piece, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, etc.).
๐ Chainsaw Man โ Chapter 164 (Spoilers)
Chapter 164 shifts away from action and leans heavily into emotion.
Denji is still struggling with what happened to Nayuta, and you can really feel his confusion and grief throughout the chapter. Instead of fighting, the focus is on his mental state and how heโs trying (and failing) to process everything.
Asa Mitaka steps in with a surprisingly important role. Her interactions with Denji are a bit awkward, but meaningful. Even small momentsโlike conversations around foodโcarry deeper emotional weight and show how disconnected Denji feels from normal life.
๐ Overall vibe: quiet, heavy, and character-focused rather than explosive.
๐ดโโ ๏ธ One Piece โ Chapter 164 (Spoilers)
This chapter dives into the past, specifically during the Alabasta storyline.
We see more of Viviโs childhood and her connection with Koza. A key moment shows Koza protecting Vivi from danger, which leads to his injury. That experience shapes him into the rebel leader he becomes later.
The chapter builds the emotional and political tension that defines the Alabasta arc.
๐ Overall vibe: backstory-driven with strong emotional setup.
