Not exactly. In the USA, you canβt just sleep anywhere in an RV freely. Hereβs the deal:
Campgrounds and RV parks are the safest and most legal places to stay overnight.
Many states allow overnight parking at rest areas or truck stops, but usually just for a limited time (like 8β12 hours).
Boondocking (parking on public land like in national forests or BLM land) is allowed in some spots but with rules β no hookups, limited stays, and sometimes permits.
Parking lots of stores or streets: Some places allow it, some donβt. You have to check local laws and sometimes ask permission.
So, itβs best to plan ahead and know where overnight RV parking is legal to avoid fines or getting asked to move.
