Initial Margin refers to the collateral placed to open a leveraged position. Only Bonus and USDT can be used as initial margin.
Flipster employs the Isolated Margin system, meaning margins are allocated to each position separately and not shared across symbols. If one isolated margin position is liquidated, other isolated margin positions remain unaffected.
Maintenance Margin refers to the minimum amount of collateral required for a position to remain open. If the collateral falls below this level, liquidation occurs.
Liquidation occurs when the collateral falls below the maintenance margin. Flipster’s Backstop Liquidity Provider automatically unwinds the position during liquidation.
