So I gave mStock a shot after seeing those β€œzero brokerage” ads everywhere. First thing I googled (obv): Is mstock real or fake β€” β€˜cause I’m not tryna get scammed before my morning coffee. πŸ˜… Turns out, it’s backed by Mirae Asset (yep, that big legit global finance squad). SEBI-registered and all that jazz.

Used it for a few trades β€” smooth interface, no shady popups. But ngl, Is mstock real or fake still pops in my head sometimes when the app lags mid-order (heart attack fr 😭). Just test it out with small trades, and don’t go full send till you vibe with it.

They hit you with a one-time setup fee (β‚Ή999/β‚Ή1299), and from there, they play it smartβ€”β‚Ή5 per trade on F&O or intraday, some interest if you use margin (MTF), and a few tiny fees like DP charges or pledge charges if you get fancy.

Basically, it’s like micro-monetizing every move without feeling like you’re getting ripped off. Slick model, not scammyβ€”just biz.

You can trade stocks, mutual funds, F&Oβ€”all thatβ€”with literally zero brokerage if you pay a one-time fee. Plus, no AMC fees? Big win.

It’s fast, easy to use, and the UI doesn’t feel like you’re stuck in 2009. But yeah, sometimes their customer support could be quicker, and a few advanced features are still missingβ€”but nothing major unless you’re a hardcore trader.

So yeah, if you’re tryna save on fees and keep things simple, MStock app’s pretty chill.

Just log in to the app or website, head to your profile, go to Segments, scroll till you find β€œClose My Account”, and follow the steps. You’ll need your PAN, an OTP, and to eSign it with your Aadhaar-linked number. That’s it.

Just make sure you don’t have any pending stocks or dues left. Sell or transfer all that first, grab your statements, and then go ahead with the closure.

Need to go old school? You can also download the closure form and submit it offline. But yeah, online is way faster and cleaner.

Wondering if investing in an NFO is a good idea? Learn how New Fund Offers can provide unique investment opportunities, their risks, and whether they align with your financial goals.

How is an NFO a Good Investment Opportunity?

New Fund Offers (NFOs) can be a great investment option, but it really depends on your goals and risk appetite. Here’s why some investors consider them a good opportunity:

    1. Early Entry Advantage: Since an NFO is a newly launched mutual fund, you get in at the ground level, potentially benefiting from long-term growth as the fund expands.

    2. Lower Costs: Some NFOs have lower expense ratios or entry costs compared to existing mutual funds, making them attractive for cost-conscious investors.

    3. Unique Investment Themes: Many NFOs introduce new strategies, sectors, or investment styles that may not be available in existing mutual funds, giving investors access to fresh opportunities.

    4. Customization & Diversification: If the NFO offers a unique asset mix or investment strategy, it can help diversify your portfolio and reduce risk.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Investing in an NFO

    • Past Performance is Unavailable: Unlike existing mutual funds, NFOs don’t have a track record, so you’re investing based on the fund’s objectives and the expertise of the fund manager.

    • Liquidity Concerns: Some NFOs, especially closed-ended funds, may have lock-in periods, limiting access to your money.

    • Market Conditions: The success of an NFO can depend on market trends and economic conditions at the time of launch.

Should You Invest in an NFO?

If you’re comfortable with some uncertainty and want exposure to a new fund with potential long-term benefits, an NFO can be worth considering. However, always compare it with existing funds, check the fund manager’s credentials, and ensure it fits your financial plan before making a decision.
